For metal and construction workers

Work in metal and construction in Germany

Are you a welder, a metalworker, a bricklayer or do you work in construction? Companies in Germany are looking for staff. Regalis puts you in touch with them.

What the law requires of you

Regalis places welders, metalworkers, bricklayers and construction helpers from Greece with companies in Germany, without a visa. The employment contract is signed directly with the company. Registration and placement are free of charge for candidates.

  • No visa

As an EU citizen you need neither a visa nor a work permit to work in Germany.

  • Contract and registration of your address

You need an employment contract. After moving, you register your address with the local registration office where you live.

  • Recognition only where needed

Recognition of your qualification is only needed in regulated professions. For most occupations in metal and construction it is usually not needed.

  • Training and language

The law requires neither vocational training nor German skills from EU citizens. What a company wants is described below.

How it works

  1. 1

    Quick application or profile

Fill in the quick application on this page or create a profile with your CV, references from employers and, if you have them, certificates, for example for welding.

  2. 2

    Review by Regalis

We look at your details and ask if something is missing.

  3. 3

    Introduction to companies

If a position fits, we introduce you to suitable companies with your consent.

  4. 4

    Interview and contract

You talk to the company, often by video call. You sign the employment contract directly with the company.

  5. 5

    Move and start

You move to Germany and start with your new employer. Many companies offer housing for the start or help you find a home.

What companies usually expect

  • Work experience on building sites or in a workshop. Vocational training or certificates, for example for welding, improve your chances.
  • German at A2 level or above improves your chances, above all for safety instructions. On many sites, English or colleagues who speak the same language are enough.
  • A category B driving licence and readiness to work on changing sites, depending on the company.
